There aren’t many race choices available for a druid; you either go Tauren for Horde faction or Night Elf for Alliance side. Of course, there are also Troll and Worgen after the Cataclysm update. For now, Night Elf is still the most popular race for a Druid (that's the orginial race in the story anyway), so here are a few Night Elf Druid leveling guide tips:
1. Choose more suitable tree for leveling
While I wil not against you going Balance and be a spellcaster, the Feral Combat tree with some points in Restoration is the most recommended spec for quick leveling. You can tank (to certain degree), dish reasonable damage, and can heal yourself. This is a perfect skill combination for solo leveling.
Naturally, you can’t have your animal form from the beginning, so I suggest you make use of whatever you got to make your life easier in the earlier level. Get these spells:
- Mark of the Wild: increase your armor.
- Moonfire: allow you to kill faster.
- Thorns: damage the monsters when they hit you.
- Entangling Roots: another good skill to conserve your life.
- Bear Form: the beginning of your life in Feral Combat.
As I said above, you’ll want to mix some Restoration talents, here are some vital talents that you should get:
- Improved Mark of the Wild: one of the best buffs in WoW.
- Naturalist: enhance your physical damage in all forms.
- Omen of Clarity (spell): give you chances to use your skills without using energy.
2. Complete the entire quests
Level 1-10 will be the easiest and quickest leveling in your whole life, so make sure you get and complete all the quests. This is necessary because these quests will provide you with lots of useful things in addition to gold and spells. Additionally, they contain a few important things that you will require later; so rather than saving a couple of minutes by bypassing a quest and regret it later, it is better to do them all.
3. Don’t neglect your profession training
Quick start will ensure that your profession level keeps following your general level. Keep in mind that you can leveling some of these professions while killing monsters too, so they will not hinder your leveling speed.
Your professions also will get you some additional income from selling raw materials or making things. If you're just started, gatherer professions like skinning and herbalism are good ideas.
By implementing these tips, your leveling process will be easier. All that left is knowing the right sequence to complete the quests in the shortest time possible while getting as much rewards as you can. For that, I suggest you get yourself a good Night Elf Druid Leveling Guide and get start immediately.
